Johanna Flodin

Hometown: Indonesia? Boulder, CO? I'm not too sure.
Major: Biology (ecology and evolution) and/or Geology
Three! Things! I! Love! Climbing my favorite trees around campus, having daily debriefs with my besties, and going on weekend hikes in the redwoods.
I could talk all day about fungi, plants, geological deep time and the coevolution of life and earth, humans' connection with nature, and of course cats.
I'd love to connect with folks who have experience with ecology, geology, paleontology, ethnobotany

Johanna is a sophomore studying Biology (evolution and ecology) and Geology and is super excited to be the kids' naturalist this summer! Her love for nature comes from growing up in Indonesia, where she spent many of her days running around barefoot, feeding her many stray cat friends. Having been raised on old folk music and the Grateful Dead, she can't wait to bust out some campfire jams. Johanna also loves nature journalling, forest bathing walks, and climbing trees. She is so so soooo excited to lead the youngins on some wonderful nature adventures and can't wait to meet everyone this summer!
