Lauren Grant

Hometown: Goshen, IN

Major: Earth Systems and Philosophy

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: Go to the gym, soak in the sun at Casper Quad, and grab midnight snacks with friends.

I could talk all day about: Finding out who you are and growing as an individual through lived experiences.

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: Literally anything (but mostly sustainability, philosophy, AI, education, law, and government)!!!!

Biosketch: Originally from a small town in Indiana, Lauren found moving across the country for college to be a daunting experience. To her surprise, the separation from home allowed her to grow into her own individual rather than diminishing her experience. As a result of this growth, Lauren has found that her passions lie in sustainability and understanding why planets are formed in the way that they are. In addition to this, teaching others about nature and the outdoors has found a special pocket within Lauren’s heart. When she is not at the gym or listening to music, you can find Lauren basking in a sunny patch of grass or out and about meeting new people. If you cross paths with Lauren, she would be more than happy to hear about the things that bring you the most joy. This year is her first year at camp and she is incredibly excited to be working as a Chickaree’s camp counselor!
