Bonnie Maldonado, PhD

About Dr. Maldonado: Dr. Maldonado is a pediatric infectious diseases epidemiologist and a professor and senior associate dean for faculty development and diversity at Stanford University School of Medicine. She has devoted her career to improving child health especially in global health settings, as well as to teaching and mentoring undergraduates, medical students and faculty, helping them shape and advance their careers in health care and medicine. Most recently she has worked at the national and international level in the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Talk title: Leadership in Challenging Times
Building a career and navigating the workforce is ever more challenging as we transition out of the COVID19 pandemic. In addition, developing an approach to becoming an effective leader requires fundamental knowledge and skills which can be applied in a variety of workplace environments. We will review some key principles in building leadership skills at a variety of career phases.
