Brennecke Gale

Hometown: Gypsum, CO

Major: Human Biology, Creative Writing minor

Three things I love to do: Explore the surrounding California area, be an RA (two years so far!), and play any and all kinds of games in the sun with friends!

I could talk all day about... The intersection of writing/storytelling and science, rural America, creative writing and poetry, socioecological systems and sustainability, sports!

I would love to connect with folks who work in fields related to or share an interest in... Environmental education, sustainability, ecosystem management, science education, nature and science writing, rural healthcare, biology, human resources

More about Brennecke: Brennecke is returning home to Fallen Leaf as Ski Dock head after a phenomenal first summer on Ski Dock in 2021. At camp, Brennecke learned to celebrate trying new things, be present with others and in nature, have fun, and work hard. She believes deeply in the power of the close community of camp, and also won't ever say no to a jump in the lake. A senior from rural Colorado, Brennecke is interested in ecology and sustainability and the way writing and education play a role in those fields of science. On campus, Brennecke is a tour guide, RA, club soccer player, and has worked in the Ardoin Social Ecology lab. She is so excited to connect with kids and adults at camp!
