More about Ryan: Hi! Hello! Greetings! The lad pictured above is Ryan (his close friends just call him by his last name, Finley). This rising Stanford sophomore grew up in San Diego and spent his younger days at the beach and in the water. It is during these formative years that he developed an interest in marine biology, oceanography, and conservation. At school, Finley hopes to combine this interest in the ocean with his other interest: Computer Science. He wants to apply the technical skills and knowledge he acquires at Stanford to environmental problems. During his gap year after high school he worked on ships in Washington, San Diego, and the Maldives, spending 6 months of the year at sea. His dreams include sailing to Antarctica, circumnavigating the globe, and working on a research vessel. Finley is always looking for adventures and friends to share them with, so if you have any funky fresh ideas or want to just hang out and talk about life, he’s your guy! He is so excited to meet all of you and to have an absolute blast at camp!
