Nick Hafer

Hometown: Menlo Park, CA

Major: Computer Science - Human Computer Interaction

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: cooking with others, reading in a hammock in the shade, and moving my body (run, mountain bike, hike, ski, volleyball, sail, trying new sports!)

I could talk all day about: movies and shows, new recipes and cultural cooking techniques, what technology is "under the hood" of everyday products and new technologies

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: design, climate, cooking, game design, film/television/entertainment, programming/algorithms

Biosketch: After an electric 2023 summer at camp working in the office, Nick is super excited to be returning this summer, this time as IIC (Individual Instructor Coordinator)! He is beyond ready for the sunny weather and piles of dishes to scrub while dancing to his favorite music. He also loves mountain biking and trail running around Tahoe so let him know if you ever want to ride or run (no experience required)! He loves learning new things and being bad at them, so if you have any games or talents to share, it would make his day if you said hi! He’s in the middle of his coterm in Computer Science but he unfortunately (or fortunately?) has no idea what he wants to do with the rest of his life so would love to talk to you!!!
