Miguel Moya

Hometown: Managua, Nicaragua

Major: Environmental Engineering (Atmosphere and Energy)

Three things I love to do at Stanford outside of class: I love to relax in Meyer Green, or green spaces. I enjoy grabbing meals with friends around campus, and I love to go on late night walks around campus.

I could talk all day about: energy and the environment, latin american politics, soccer, music (especially old rock), movies and musicals, mental health

I would love to connect with guests who work in fields related to: atmosphere and energy, engineering and architecture, philosophy

Biosketch: Miguel is a junior from Managua, Nicaragua, where he was born and raised; he moved to San Francisco at the age of 15 years old. Miguel loves to talk and let his mind wander off on the ‘what if’s’ of life, and the existential philosophies of the universe. He enjoys spending his free time exploring new songs and music genres, while also playing the guitar. Miguel loves to travel and learn about new cultures. He will always say ‘yes’ to spontaneous crazy adventures, so he’s your go-to person during your time at camp. On campus, he plays rugby and volleyball, and enjoys tutoring his friends in Spanish. Miguel is a great listener so don’t hesitate to find him and talk about anything that’s on your mind. Can’t wait to meet you all!!
